June 20th Papeete, French Polynesia

The plane flight was smooth and the walk out onto the runway in Papeete today was even smoother. Could the weather be any nicer? Its ten o'clock at night right now and I'm nearly sweating but I can say it feels pretty good. I can't see myself needing anything other than a t-shirt, boardshorts, and sandals anytime soon and its winter for crying out loud! Walked to a plaza for dinner with walk up food trucks with tables and chairs set up all around. Interesting to be waited on outside of a food truck and served in English/French. I felt a bad that I didn't know how to order in French but was consoled by the fact that no one else could either. I had a great Tahitian dish that is like pasole called Poisson Cru that in my opinion tastes much better than pasole. It had some kind of fish, cucumber, carrot slices, and some mixture of vinegar and coconut juice. I was really pleased I decided to try it. I didn't bring my camera to take a picture of it but I'll have to take a picture next time I get it. But now my computer is about to die since I have been using it all day today without any AC so I must go. Until later.
